Days of Moscow Festival in Malta

 

From the 3rd till the 5th October 2019 “Days of Moscow” festival will be held in Malta, organized by the Moscow City Department for External Economic and International Relations in collaboration with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Valletta, Heritage Malta, Festivals Malta and National Sport School.

A number of cultural and sport events will be organised in different locations all over Malta.

On October 3 the Russian Centre for Science & Culture will be opening the exhibition illustrating a restoration project of Moscow Kremlin. On the day of the opening the guests will be shown the film “Kremlin. The Sacred Heart of Moscow” at 18:30. The exhibition will run until October 16.

On October 4 Fortress Builders — Fortification Interpretation Centre (St. Mark Street, Valletta) will be holding “Kremlin Chambers” exhibition by Vladimir Klavikho-Telepnev, Russian art-photographer. The exhibition will run till October 16.
 

On October 5 ”Grad Quartet” folk band will perform at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture (36, Merchants Street, Valletta) from 20:30 till 21:30. Entrance is free.

On the same day as part of the annual Notte Bianca arts and cultural festival, Maestro Igor Butman and his Jazz band will present a number of great jazz songs in Market Square, Merchants Street, Valletta, at 21:30. Maestro Butman is a world acclaimed musician and a cultural ambassador of Russian jazz all over the world.

Sport part will include table tennis and judo tournaments between Maltese and Russian  young sportsmen, as well as master classes in gymnastics by Russian and Maltese athletes. The official delegation from the Government of Moscow will participate in a discussion on sport schools practices in Malta and Moscow.

Days of Moscow festival is the first large scale cultural event establishing tight bonds between the Russian capital & the Republic of Malta. The festival is regularly held in many countries around the globe promoting positive image of Russian culture and the city of Moscow.
